2011/S 102-167776 GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE Project name: Novi Sad District Heating Project Country: Serbia Business sector: Municipal and Environmental Infrastructure Project ID: 41874 Funding source: EBRD, Sida Type of contract: Works, goods, services Type of notice: General procurement notice Issue date: 18 May 2011 Closing date: 18 May 2012, 24:00 Belgrade time Public Utility Company "Novi Sad Heating Plant" (the "Company") intends using the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the "Bank") for a project to finance (i) modernisation of the primary and secondary substations in the City of Novi Sad; (ii) construction of a biomass boiler plant; and (iii) Installation of thermostatic radiator valves and heat cost allocators in approximately 2000 flats. The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of EUR 21 million equivalent, will require the procurement of the following goods, works and services: • Supply and installation of indirect substations; • Supply and installation of pellets boiler plant; • Supply and installation of heat cost allocators and thermostatic radiator valves. Tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2011. Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank will be subject to the Bank's 'Procurement Policies and Rules' and will be open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the Bank's loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser's country.
