Public Enterprise for State Roads (PESR) , hereinafter referred to as &ldquo;the Client&rdquo;, intends using part of the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, hereinafter referred to as &ldquo;the Bank&rdquo;, towards the cost of National Roads Programme. The Client intends prequalifying firms and consortia to tender for the following contract, hereinafter referred to as &ldquo;the Contract&rdquo;, to be funded from part of the proceeds of the loan: &bull; A3 Expressway, section Stip - Kocani (km 0+000-km 14+300), for a total length of 14.300 km is part of the East-West corridor from Trebenista (connection to the A2) to the border with Bulgaria. This Contract comprises construction of the road to provide one carriageway expressway, including two 3.50 m wide traffic lanes and two 2.2 m wide hard shoulders each carriageway and maintenance service for 5 years period on section from km 0+000 to km 28+055. Basic preliminary quantities are: excavation 950,000 m3, embankments 700,000 m3, asphalt carriageway 165,000 m2, 2 overpasses and 3 underpasses. Proposed period of construction is 24 months. Prequalification and tendering for contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank is open to firms and joint ventures of firms from any country.
